There is a heck of a lot of benefits to using face mists, especially one that you make yourself. Aside from being ridiculously easy to make, they can help your skin care needs. Our favorite way to use them is to set our makeup in the morning. But, we also keep on at our desks, and one in our purses. Because you really never know when you’re going to need that extra burst of hydration.

It’s like a little pick me up for your face throughout the day. And, spraying your face could even wake you up a bit more too! So, we think it is time to get into the recipes! Here are our Best DIY Hydrating Face Mist recipes for you!

Favorite DIY Mist Recipes

We’ve got two really easy recipes for you. One for dry skin, and then one to help you get a nice summer glow at any time of the year! So, here you are! It’s Hydrating Face Mist DIY time!

Lavender And Chamomile Face Mist:


  1. 1 Cup Distilled Water
  2. 5 Drops Lavender Essential Oils
  3. 5 Drops Chamomile Essential Oils
  4. ½ Teaspoon Vegetable Glycerin
    1. Or 1 Teaspoon Almond Oil


Add all of the ingredients to a glass jar and cover it. Shake the mixture of well and pour it into a 1- or 2-ounce bottle with a spray nozzle. This would be really easy to duplicate and make a couple. One for your bathroom, desk, and purse!

Store the extra mixture in the fridge and refill your bottles as you need to!

All you have to do is spray a bit on your face whenever you need a pick me up! It’s the perfect DIY Hydrating Face Mist For Dry Skin!

Orange Blossom Cooling Summer Spritz:


  1. ½ Cup Orange Blossom Water
  2. 10 Drops Argan Oil
  3. 10 Drops Rosehip Oil


Follow the exact same directions as above.

Both of these mists are lightly perfumed, and perfect for your mid-day pickups!
